The performers gave us an hour of their time, right after performing The Voice of the Blood, the act based on the life of Hildegard, to let Raphaelle get some shots of their costumes.
They gladly agreed and reproduced certain acts of the performance, to get immortalized in the lens of Raphaelle.

It’s officially been a week since the end of our shooting at the Detect Classic Festival for “Illuminating Echoes”, our documentary about retelling the story of Hildegard von Bingen.
🎞️ We have created for you a little compilation of videos of some backstage footage. Discover a quick sneak-peek of the performance, the interviews, the festival grounds and our experience at the festival.
✍️ Now that we’ve completed most of the filming, our priorities will be on reviewing all the content, transcribing the interviews and structuring the script.

D-2 before our departure for the Detect Festival to go film Illuminating Echoes. 🎥
We are very excited to continue to document and witness the talent of the Hütte Collective as they perform this act inspired by the life of Hildegard von Bingen.
We were lucky to get a small glimpse of the performance yesterday evening as we joined the last rehearsal in Berlin. We attached to this email some pictures and videos so you can have a first exclusive look. 🌟
Because we have a lot of material to film and can only be doing so much at the same time, Sam Van der Plas, a dear friend of us, and a very talented and experienced cinematographer, has kindly agreed to join the team to assist during the filming process. Sam will help us coordinate the gear, find filming locations, manage the time and in general be an emotional support as we perform our magic.

Enfant Terrible becomes Middle Visions
Augustine and Raphaëlle have decided to change the name of their duo to a name that represents more the nature of their projects.
Middle Visions combines three main ideas into one.
"Middle" because they are both middle children in their respective family and have continuously bonded over the similarities in their character that brings them together.
"Visions" because this topic continues to get addressed in their work, from Jeanne d'Arc's visions to Hildegard's. It also encompasses the idea of witchcraft, the mystical, the unknown, ideas the duo is keen on researching.
And finally the combination of both "middle" and "visions" into "Middle Visions" to describe the nature of the duo's work which is about researching and highlighting alternative ideas, emphasizing the stories that still need to be told.

As our journey officially begins, Rapha and I jumped on a call to celebrate the end of our campaign and to start brainstorming over the upcoming steps, but one thing we know for sure is that we would not have made it without all of your support ❤️
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everybody that has contributed to the project in whatever shape or form!
We fiercely believe this story needs to be told, and we are honored to be the ones bringing it to you. For the upcoming few months, we will be planning, scheduling and reheasing before the start of our main shooting days in August. Until then, we will update you here with some news or footage in order to keep you all waiting!

We still have a day to collect as much as we can in order to reach our next level, or simply to have more flexibility in the pre-production / filming / post-production process, in order to deliver a final product of the best quality! 🎥

Filming has begun...
